Overview<\/h2>\n

Power BI is a powerful analytics tool provided that allows you to analyze and visualize data from Nimble projects. By connecting Power BI to the Nimble OData endpoint, you can import data from Nimble projects into Power BI and create custom reports and dashboards that provide insights into projects. For example, you can create visualizations that show the status of user stories in a project that is completed within a certain duration with high priority.<\/p>\n

With the integration of Nimble with Power BI, you can leverage these advanced analytics features to gain deeper insights into your project data, which allows you to combine the strengths of both platforms to gain valuable insights.<\/p>\n

Navigation<\/h2>\n

In the left navigation panel, expand the\u00a0Workspace<\/strong>\u00a0menu and select\u00a0My Workspace<\/strong>. Hover over the My Workspace<\/a>\u00a0breadcrumb at the top, expand the\u00a0Setup<\/strong>\u00a0module, and select\u00a0Integrations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Integrating Power BI<\/h2>\n

To integrate the Power BI with Nimble, follow these steps:<\/p>\n

  1. Launch the <\/span>Power BI Desktop<\/b> application on your system.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Navigate to the <\/span>Home <\/b>section and click the <\/span>Get Data<\/b> option.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Select the <\/span>OData Feed<\/b> option from the Other section and click the <\/span>Connect <\/b>button.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Select the <\/span>Advanced <\/b>option, and in <\/span>URL parts, <\/b>enter the Nimble OData endpoint’s URL in the following format: <\/span>https:\/\/sitename.digite.com\/odata\/nimble.svc<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Additionally, make sure to select the <\/span>Include open type columns<\/b> checkbox.<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Click the <\/span>OK <\/b>button.<\/li>\n
  7. In the <\/span>Basic <\/b>section, enter your user name and password.<\/span><\/li>\n
  8. Click the <\/span>Connect <\/b>button.<\/span><\/li>\n
  9. In the Navigator dialog box, select the <\/span>EForms <\/b>checkbox and click the <\/span>Transform Data<\/b> button.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
