Creating a workitem can be time-consuming when there are several fields to fill in. Auto-Fill uses AI to recommend and populate workitem field values automatically, based on the information you enter in the name<\/strong> and description<\/strong> fields. This helps you create workitems faster with less manual data entry. Auto-Fill (earlier called Smart-Fill) now works out of the box \u2014 there is no separate configuration to set up.<\/p>\n

<\/a>Prerequisite<\/h2>\n

Auto-Fill is available to users who have an AI Agent license<\/strong>. If you do not have access to this feature, contact your administrator.<\/p>\n

<\/a>Use Auto-Fill While Adding a Workitem<\/h2>\n

When you add a new workitem, AI can auto-populate the editable fields based on what you enter. To use Auto-Fill:<\/p>\n

  1. Add a new workitem and enter a clear Name<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  2. Enter adequate detail in the Description<\/strong> field. The more relevant information you provide, the better the recommendations.<\/li>\n
  3. Click the AI Agent<\/strong> button at the top of the form and select AI Auto-Fill<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  4. AI analyzes the name and description and auto-populates the editable fields (such as drop-downs, dates, and numeric fields), highlighting the updated values.<\/li>\n
  5. Review the recommended values and adjust any of them before saving the workitem.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    <\/a>How It Works<\/h2>\n

    Auto-Fill bases its recommendations on the information in the name and description fields and on your historical workitems. The more relevant detail you provide, the better the recommendations. You can also view similar workitems<\/a> for reference at any time \u2014 even after creating a workitem and modifying it.<\/p>\n
