Projects can be created for application development, maintenance, support, etc.<\/p>\n<h2>Navigation<\/h2>\n<p>You can create a project using the following navigation:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Click the <strong>ADD<\/strong> button in the left navigation panel and select the <strong>Project<\/strong> option.<a id=\"AddProject\"><\/a><\/li>\n<li>In the left navigation panel, expand the <strong>My Projects<\/strong> menu and select <strong>All Projects. <\/strong>From the All Projects screen, you can click the <strong>ADD<\/strong> button to add a project.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Steps To Add a Project<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>From the left navigation, click the <strong>ADD<\/strong> button and select the <strong>Project<\/strong> option.<\/li>\n<li>Select the required template. For more information, refer to <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nimblework.com\/knowledge-base\/nimble\/article\/templates-overview\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Template selection<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Enter the fields in &#8220;<strong>Create your Project&#8221;<\/strong>\u00a0as explained below:\n<ul>\n<li>Name: Enter an appropriate title for the Project.<\/li>\n<li>Invite team members: Enter the email address to invite team members to the project.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Click the <strong>FINISH <\/strong>button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-22369 \" src=\"https:\/\/www.nimblework.com\/knowledge-base\/nimble\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Left-Panel-1.png\" alt=\"Left Panel\" width=\"288\" height=\"463\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.nimblework.com\/knowledge-base\/nimble\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Left-Panel-1.png 440w, https:\/\/www.nimblework.com\/knowledge-base\/nimble\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Left-Panel-1-186x300.png 186w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 288px) 100vw, 288px\" \/><a id=\"ManageProject\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"283\">After creating a project, all menus and their respective submenus become available based on the selected template. You can update project details such as <strong data-start=\"154\" data-end=\"170\">Project Name<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"172\" data-end=\"194\">Planned Start Date<\/strong>, and <strong data-start=\"200\" data-end=\"220\">Planned End Date<\/strong> from the <strong data-start=\"230\" data-end=\"249\">Project Details<\/strong> option under the <strong data-start=\"267\" data-end=\"275\">Plan<\/strong> menu.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"285\" data-end=\"519\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">In the <strong data-start=\"292\" data-end=\"311\">Project Profile<\/strong> screen, you can also perform additional actions such as <strong data-start=\"368\" data-end=\"377\">Print<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"379\" data-end=\"389\">Delete<\/strong>, or <strong data-start=\"394\" data-end=\"421\">Save as Custom Template<\/strong>. When the project is no longer needed, you can close it by clicking the <strong data-start=\"494\" data-end=\"511\">CLOSE PROJECT<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n<p>Once the project is created, team members are invited, and they start logging time for the work they do, the Project Details page shows the key project financials such as <strong>Allocated Budget<\/strong>, <strong>Allocated Cost<\/strong>, and <strong>Actual Cost<\/strong>. These fields provide a bird\u2019s-eye view of your project\u2019s financial status. The <strong>Budgeted Cost<\/strong> is derived from the Demand for the projects in the Portfolio Management module and thus will only be visible for the projects created through demands in Portfolio Management. The <strong>Allocated Cost <\/strong>is derived as per the Cost of each team member defined in the <strong>Cost Definition<\/strong> screen, as per their persona and the % Allocation of the team members in that project (in the People Management module).
