You have multiple options to create\/add a workitem.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To quickly add a card<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On Work Hub:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Click the <strong>ADD<\/strong> button on the toolbar to add a workitem type.<\/li>\n<li>Depending on the nature of the tasks, you can select the workitem type from the available options and select <strong>Add<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>In the pop-up window, fill all the required fields with details and click <strong>SAVE<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Alternate to adding a card on Work Hub.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Right-click on the desired column to which you want to add.<\/li>\n<li>Select <b>Add Card<\/b>\u00a0in the shortcut menu.<\/li>\n<li>In the card placeholder, enter the Card title and select the card type.<\/li>\n<li>Click <b>ENTER<\/b> to save the card on the board.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>You can also add a task from the Work Hub. To know more about adding a task from Work Hub, read <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nimblework.com\/knowledge-base\/nimble\/article\/adding-a-task-from-the-execution-board\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>On Workitem Listing Page:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open any workitem type screen and click the <strong>ADD<\/strong> button on the toolbar.<\/li>\n<li>In the Details screen,\u00a0fill all the required fields with details and click <strong>SAVE<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>Pro-tip:<a id=\"Modify\"><\/a><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>If you are adding a card that you would like to have on the Work Hub, set the Board Lane attribute on the Card.<\/li>\n<li>You can also bring a workitem from the Backlog onto the Work Hub by using the \u201cSearch &amp; Add\u201d option.<\/li>\n<li>In the List view, add multiple workitems at a time using the\u00a0<strong>Multiline Add Item<\/strong>\u00a0option.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Note:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Card type cannot be modified once a card is added. If you need to change the card type, you will need to delete the card and add a new card as per your desired card type.<\/li>\n<li>Card created on one Board cannot be transferred to another Board or across Boards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Modifying Attributes of a Workitem<\/h2>\n<p>Similar to adding a workitem, you have multiple options to modify a workitem.<\/p>\n<p>Modify or update the attributes in the <strong>Details<\/strong> tab by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>clicking the workitem\/card on the Work Hub<a id=\"assignowner\"><\/a><\/li>\n<li>clicking the workitem row on the workitem type listing page<a id=\"assignowner1\"><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Learn more about adding and modifying workitems from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nimblework.com\/knowledge-base\/nimble\/article\/how-to-add-and-modify-a-workitem\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Assign Owner to a Workitem<\/h2>\n<p>Card Owners are the team members who are responsible for the workitem. To invite users and add team members to your project read <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nimblework.com\/knowledge-base\/nimble\/article\/how-to-quickly-invite-user\/\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>You have multiple options to assign a card owner to a workitem.<\/p>\n<p>First Option:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Click the Avatar box showing the name and profile, and select the team members that you want to assign to that card by selecting them. You can select all the users in one go by clicking the <strong>Select All<\/strong> option.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-8740 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nimblework.com\/knowledge-base\/nimble\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Assign-card-owner.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"573\" height=\"535\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.nimblework.com\/knowledge-base\/nimble\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Assign-card-owner.jpg 573w, https:\/\/www.nimblework.com\/knowledge-base\/nimble\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Assign-card-owner-300x280.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 573px) 100vw, 573px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Another Option:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Open any workitem and in the Details tab add or change the card owner via the Owners attribute.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Pro-tip:<\/h3>\n<p><a id=\"VideoReference\"><\/a>Keep only 1 person responsible for a card unless multiple team members are responsible for it.
