The chart can be plotted to track cycle time for cards. Click the\u00a0<b>Add Widget<\/b>\u00a0icon on the Analytics page. The Analytics Builder appears.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whs1\">2. Click the\u00a0<b>SKIP<\/b>\u00a0button at the bottom right of the Analytics Builder to see the\u00a0<b>Standard Widgets<\/b>\u00a0screen.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whs1\">3. From the\u00a0<b>Lean Analytics<\/b>\u00a0section, click the Cycle Time &#8211; Control Chart. The\u00a0<b>Settings<\/b>\u00a0page appears.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nimblework.com\/knowledge-base\/nimble\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Settings_CTCD.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9537\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nimblework.com\/knowledge-base\/nimble\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Settings_CTCD.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"901\" height=\"490\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.nimblework.com\/knowledge-base\/nimble\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Settings_CTCD.jpg 901w, https:\/\/www.nimblework.com\/knowledge-base\/nimble\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Settings_CTCD-300x163.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.nimblework.com\/knowledge-base\/nimble\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Settings_CTCD-768x418.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 901px) 100vw, 901px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"whs1\">To plot the widget, \u00a0specify the following information:<\/p>\n<p class=\"whs1\"><b>Data Criteria<\/b><\/p>\n<ul class=\"whs4\" type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"p\">\n<p class=\"whs5\"><strong>Workitem type:<\/strong>\u00a0Select the values based on your requirement.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:\u00a0<\/strong>If you select the My Workitem option, the Release, Sprint, and Task Plan options won&#8217;t be selected as they are dependent on the form&#8217;s execution.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p\">\n<p class=\"whs6\"><b>Start Date and End Date<\/b>: Select both these dates from the calendar to limit the scope of data.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"p\">\n<p class=\"whs6\"><b>Select Filter:<\/b>\u00a0Select or create a filter to apply on the specified data.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"p\">\n<p class=\"whs1\"><b>Lane<\/b>: \u00a0Select the lane from the list box for which you want to plot the chart.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"p\">\n<p class=\"whs1\"><b>From<\/b>\u00a0and<b>To Column:<\/b>\u00a0Select the exact stages for which you want to generate by defining the Start Column and End Column.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"whs1\"><b>Dimensions and Settings<\/b><\/p>\n<ul class=\"whs4\" type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"p\">\n<p class=\"whs1\"><b>X Axis (Date Range):<\/b>\u00a0Select the unit of measurement (Hours\/Days\/Weeks) for Cycle Time to be scaled on the X-axis in the chart.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"p\">\n<p class=\"whs1\"><b>Y Axis (Cycle Time):<\/b>\u00a0Snapshot of time (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly) for Analytics to be rolled up or unrolled on the Y-axis of the chart.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"whs1\"><b>Note<\/b>: If you select the Time Period as Weekly, then please remember that the week is considered from Sunday to Saturday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whs1\">To view the chart for the Lead Time, select Backlog in Start Lane and the End Lane as you want. You can view the chart for each Lane or All Lanes. If you select the \u2018All\u2019 option, the chart considers all cards that exited the last lane.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whs1\"><a id=\"Interpretation\"><\/a>The green line indicates the mean or average time for the selected period. The red line above the green line is Upper Control Limit (UCL) and the one below the green line is the Lower Control Limit (LCL). See the control limit calculation here.<\/p>\n<h2>Interpretation<\/h2>\n<p class=\"whs1\">The cards falling within the range of UCL and LCL are indicated by green dots. The red dots above the UCL and below LCL indicate the metric for the item is beyond the control limit. There may be special cases for such cards. But several points outside these control limits are signals that the process is not operating as consistently as possible, and needs a change.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whs1\"><a id=\"Control\"><\/a>To find out the card that is out of control limits, rest your pointer on the outlier, you can see the card name and the metric. Click the \u2018Click here\u2019 link to view the card details.<\/p>\n<h2>Control Limit Calculation<\/h2>\n<p class=\"whs1\">As a definition, control limits statistically indicate whether any process is under control and stable. The upper control limit (UCL) and lower control limit (LCL) are calculated statistically from the cards\u2019 data that are extracted as per the filter criteria applied on the analytics.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whs1\">Once the mean (total time value of cards\/count of cards) is calculated and the central line is drawn accordingly, the Control limits are defined with the standard deviation with an area of +\/- 3 sigmas on either side of the central line. UCL is drawn above the central line and called as +3 sigma line. LCL is drawn below the central line and called as -3 sigma line. If the dots <a id=\"VideoReference\"><\/a>representing individual cards are falling within the standard deviation of the mean, then the process is considered to be in control.
