DevOps, as often implemented in many organizations, has a fairly narrow focus – we look at the engineering improvements that are possible, and pay much lesser attention to alignment across the Value Stream. As a result, there is a growing disenchantment with the business results that DevOps transformations are delivering – and a big part of this disenchantment is our positioning of DevOps as an engineering activity, rather than as its true role as an enabler of the overall IT Value Stream.
In this session, we will discuss the various stages of the Value Stream and the instrumentation and enablers for managing each of the stages (hint: DevOps plays a starring role!) as critical components of a successful DevOps transformation.
