Digité December 2020 Newsletter

Overview

It’s been a challenging year for many people around the world. We sincerely hope you and your loved ones managed to pull through safely.

At Digité, it’s been a year of uncertainty and adjustment, but also one of gratitude. We can’t thank our employees enough for the way they adapted to working from home and remotely almost overnight, and our customers for standing by us all through! We feel blessed to have come through without losing anyone.

It would be an understatement to say that “How work really gets done” has changed. By now, it is clear that this is how it will be moving forward. Teams and organizations have had to learn how to cope with productivity, employee happiness and customer satisfaction while working remotely. Over the course of the year we’ve shared many articles and stories that showed, and hopefully helped in coping with, this new way of working. We’d like to end the year sharing some articles on Flow and Productivity. As we learnt – instead of fighting the direction the world is moving in, it is easier to go with the Flow.

Finding Flow In Work During Times With No Flow

Many companies who have shifted to remote working have observed lower productivity since their employees are used to the conventional ideas of problem-solving by increasing systems, processes, and measurements. In this article, Siddharth Dutta discusses how trying to get into a state of ‘Flow’ might help motivation and productivity, and shows you how you can create value at every stage of your work.

The Enigma Of Employee Productivity

CEOs normally don’t talk of “quest” and “deep meaning”, they usually talk of stuff like increasing market share, profits, innovation, etc. In this article, Raghunath Basavanahalli, SVP, Digité, discusses meaning and motivation at work and shows how teams can routinely create magic when they are bound by the same compelling vision.

Bending the Curves of Productivity

The goals of companies and their employees are fundamentally aligned around human-centered productivity. In this article, Tiago Forte discusses flow, value and the various ‘schools’ of productivity, and wonders if this new work environment we find ourselves in is actually a good thing; whether we can see the constant stimulation not as interruptions and distractions, but as opportunities for rich feedback and connection?

Purpose – The Hidden Lever Of Productivity?

Creating purpose and meaning for oneself is a big challenge and many people spend their whole lives without having one. Given this, one can only imagine how difficult it is to create purpose for their teams or company. Raghunath Basavanahalli, SVP, Digité, in this article, posits that the biggest challenge for leaders is to think and communicate authentic and true “Purpose”, and how that has a positive impact on the productivity of teams.
