We are back with our new SwiftKanban release (v3.5.4). Continuing with our theme of Analytics, we have come up with new and beautified Analytics primarily, besides few minor, yet significant improvements.

Here is a rundown to catch up quickly on the new features:

Track Flow Efficiency for Board

We have introduced a new metric to track the flow efficiency for a board.  The metric gives you a measure of how much time work-items spend ‘waiting’ for input. The metric plots the ration of Work Time / (Work Time + Wait Time) for a given date range.

Charts are excitingly Beautiful!

SwiftKanban charts are now beautifully presented! Check these out in our New Analytics view.

Search gets Easier!

Do a quick search on the primary fields without having to provide/select an attribute name, i.e. it will do a search on the Card Id, Title, Description, Priority, and Comments.
¨For specific search for text in these fields –  Current Owner and Attachments, you will have to provide /select the attribute name.

Close a Release

If you use Release and Iteration (Sprint) features of SwiftKanban, you can now close or deactivate a Release by selecting the new Close icon so you can work with only Active or recent releases in filters and other places.

Miscellaneous

  • Card added to a lane by default: If you miss to select a lane when adding a card using the ‘Add Card’ icon on the toolbar, the card will be added to the first swim lane/ smart lane on the board by default. You can change it later, but it avoids a warning message.
  • CFD Parent Lane selection: You can now plot the parent lanes only, if you need to analyze at a higher level, skipping the child lanes when plotting the CFD. Earlier, the child lanes were included along with parent lanes.
  • Improvements to the Tablet UI: Now the mobile UI looks closer than ever with the desktop UI improving the look and feel and interaction with the application.
  • In-App Video Tours: New users will get the benefit of short videos to help get them started faster and easier than before.

As always, your feedback and suggestions are invaluable to us. Thank you for helping us continually improve SwiftKanban!

Please keep them coming on the SwiftKanban Feedback portal and let others vote on them as well! If you see an error or an issue, drop us a quick note on [email protected]
