This realease introduces various several enhancements and new features.

Here are the highlights of SwiftKanban version 4.2.1:

Additional Zoom-in Level Introduced

An additional zoom-in level for the Kanban board has been introduced to let you directly view more information (attribute values) on the card without clicking anywhere.

Colorful Icons on Cards

The Kanban board is now more intuitive with the newly introduced colored icons for comments and attachments on a card. The icons appear in green indicating updates in last 24 hours, whereas orange indicates existance of comments, attachments, or tags on the card.

Adding Board Policy

With manager rights, you can now add the lane policy describing the lanes of your Kanban board.

By default this description text is visible on mouse hover. However, clicking on the leaf header will add a constant text  in the lane with the same description.

Quick Hierarchy View From Child Card

Now get an instant hierarchal view on a child card by clicking the  icon. Clicking this icon gets you card’s parent card id, and the progress status of its sibling cards.

Quick Access to Card Hierarchy

You can now quickly access card hierarchy by hovering over the card on the Kanban board, and clicking the hierarchy icon.
Once the card has been linked, the hierarchy icon will be available on the left top corner of the card.

Clickable URLs in the Card Description

Now, you can double-click an URL mentioned in the card description, and open it in a new tab.

Adding To-Do’s in Kanban Cards using Microsoft™ Office

Now, you can add To-Do’s in your Kanban card simply by creating them in a Microsoft Excel or Word file, and copying them into the To-Do section.

Default Card Type for Swim Lanes

Now, you can set the default card type for a smart lane. So, every time you add a card into that lane, by default it will pick up the card type which you have set for that smart lane.

Improved User WIP View

You can now get a comprehensive, drilled-down, card-level details of User WIP. Click any column in the user WIP list, and get the card Id, description, and the current queue of the related cards.

Color Customization of CFD diagrams

Customizing CFD Analytics is now a lot easier. You can now directly set your preferred color for each lane in the CFD settings screen, and render each lane of that chart according to that color combination.

Deleting a Project

Deleting a project has been made easy. On the Project listing page, select the project that you want to delete, and click the Delete icon on the auto-hide tool bar.

However, you cannot delete multiple projects at a time.

Revamped Admin Preferences

The Admin Preference page has been modified to complement the new UI themes that was introduced in Release 4.0. Moreover, any change made in the Preference page is now being auto-saved.

Viewing Card Type in the Edit Mode

Now, you can view card type along with the card id in the edit card mode. So, you not only get to know other details like card attributes, but also the card type.
