Overview

Power BI is a powerful analytics tool provided that allows you to analyze and visualize data from Nimble projects. By connecting Power BI to the Nimble OData endpoint, you can import data from Nimble projects into Power BI and create custom reports and dashboards that provide insights into projects. For example, you can create visualizations that show the status of user stories in a project that is completed within a certain duration with high priority.

With the integration of Nimble with Power BI, you can leverage these advanced analytics features to gain deeper insights into your project data, which allows you to combine the strengths of both platforms to gain valuable insights.

Navigation

In the left navigation panel, expand the Workspace menu and select My Workspace. Hover over the My Workspace breadcrumb at the top, expand the Setup module, and select Integrations.

Integrating Power BI

To integrate the Power BI with Nimble, follow these steps:

  1. Launch the Power BI Desktop application on your system.
  2. Navigate to the Home section and click the Get Data option.
  3. Select the OData Feed option from the Other section and click the Connect button.
  4. Select the Advanced option, and in URL parts, enter the Nimble OData endpoint’s URL in the following format: https://sitename.digite.com/odata/nimble.svc 
  5. Additionally, make sure to select the Include open type columns checkbox.
  6. Click the OK button.
  7. In the Basic section, enter your user name and password.
  8. Click the Connect button.
  9. In the Navigator dialog box, select the EForms checkbox and click the Transform Data button.
